liminal
NEW TEA CEREMONY SPACE OPEN AT LUNA’S BAKEHOUSE IN DARTINGTON.
/ˈlɪmɪnl/: adjective
to occupy a threshold, a stage of transition
There’s something simple and powerful in gathering for no other reason than to slow down into the moment. To be with others without needing to speak, and to enter a deeper space with other humans.
This is the foundation of liminal; a space for us to gather, pause, and cross the threshold from the noise of ordinary life into something quieter, deeper, and more essential.
Tea Ceremony Is The Gateway
Here, through a range of high quality tea’s, ambient sounds, and shared space, we step out of the ordinary pace of life and into something more spacious, attentive, and nourishing. Nothing is required but your willingness to arrive.
PRICING:
Please note: to make this offering financially accessible, there is a tiered ticket system to support those across a range of different incomes. There’s also a range of membership options which are the most financially efficient ways to share tea with us.
Tea is heart medicine, and this is an offering from our heart.
There will also be a free tea ceremony every Saturday morning, as a generous offering from Luna’s Bakehouse (booking required).
Jordan Biffen
Tea Ceremony in Devon, UK
After 10 years away from my homeland, I’m very honoured and excited to now be holding regular Tea Ceremonies in Dartington, Totnes.
I’m immensely grateful to be in collaboration with Luna’s Bakehouse, who’ve been a massive support in setting this space up, it would not be possible with them.
So much has already happened in my Tea journey since it first began in Australia just over 2 years ago. I recently spent 8 months in Berlin where I hosted weekly ceremonies and full day immersions combining tea ceremony and men’s work. Here I was shown even more the immense power and beauty of what happens when humans gather in presence, slowness, and ceremony. When the depth of our humanity is given space to be felt and experienced.
And now, I return to the country where I was born and raised, with deep inspiration in my heart to welcome the people of Devon into this timeless practice.
Why Tea Ceremony?
In a world where there is endless noise, sharing tea in this way is a refuge to come back to what is most real and honest. A sincere invitation to become more intimate with self and life.
This Is Tea Ceremony: Ancient & Timeless
The tea I serve is sourced from ancient, often wild trees that have been tended and respected for generations. These trees carry a life-force of their own. Something alive & vital. The tea supports a feeling of grounded openness, a sense of depth that helps us come closer to ourselves, to what’s real beneath the layers.
Whether you come once or return often, you’re invited to enter this still, sacred space, exactly as you are.
